Extracurricular Opportunities and 
Community Service Projects

Glenora students are afforded a range of extra curricular opportunities which include:

  • Running Club
  • AUTUMN CROSS COUNTRY CLASSIC run and spring Klondike Relay at Butterdome
  • Noon hour intramurals—floor hockey, handball
  • Gardening Club
  • Grades 4, 5, 6 Snow Valley skiing
  • Grades 4, 5, 6 Bennett Centre environmental programming
  • Spring Art Fair featuring student work=
  • Noon hour book clubs
  • Piano lessons at lunch time
  • Piano recitals twice yearly
  • Vocal and handbell choirs including out of school performances


This school year, Glenora students and staff have been engaged in a wide range of community service initiatives which include:

  • Terry Fox Run
  • Jump Rope for Heart
  • Fundraising for the SPCA
  • Fruit for a Friend weekly partnership with a neighboring school
  • Santa's Anonymous
  • The Giving Tree--gifts of warmth for the less fortunate
  • Food Bank drives several times per year
  • Fundraising for ALS
  • Supporting  Stollery Children’s Hospital
