    Registration

"Please note that Glenora School is full in planned classes in Kindergarten to Grade 6.

If you live in our attendance area and are looking for a space in Kindergarten, please register using the school’s online process.

We will accept registrations in Grades 1 to 6 only if you are a resident of Edmonton Public Schools and have newly moved into our attendance area after April 15, 2020.

A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian that is non-Roman Catholic and who resides within the City of Edmonton. Non-resident students may only enroll in another Division school with space remaining in planned classes."

Families who need to register their child(ren) for school are welcome to do so over summer break. If you register over the summer, you will be contacted after staff return to school on August 25th. See more information on this page about registering new students using our online form.

    NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

Because schools remain closed to students and visitors due to COVID-19, new student registrations will now be submitted online. If your child is new to the Division, you must complete our school’s online registration form, fill out and upload the Student Registration form and submit supporting documents before your child(ren) can be registered for the upcoming school year.

Our school will no longer accept printed registrations. Do not drop off student registration forms at the school.

Submitting a registration package after the deadline of April 15, 2020 may limit your options to schools with available space.Learn more about registration dates and deadlines

Principal's Message

Welcome to Glenora School!

Located in one of Edmonton’s most historic neighborhoods, Glenora Elementary School serves Kindergarten to Grade 6 students.  Glenora staff and students focus on literacy and numeracy in their classrooms, which are interwoven throughout Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science.  Students at Glenora challenge themselves daily to think critically about their subject areas and about the world around them.  Students actively participate in a multitude of challenging classroom activities. The International Baccalaureate Middle years Programme (IBMYP) is implemented in Grade 6; setting students up for success whether they pursue IBMYP in grade 7 or join other educational programs.  Glenora students embody the IBMYP learner profile which describes students as inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced and reflective.

Alongside the core subjects, Glenora students participate in accomplished Art and Music programs from Kindergarten to Grade 6 and a comprehensive French program from Grades 1-6.

Glenora exemplifies excellence and lives up to our motto “Wisdom gives you Wings” as we work to challenge ourselves academically, physically, emotionally and artistically; fostering an environment where teaching and learning flourish.

Stephen Fay, Principal
